The 2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift, launched in India on May 9, 2024, introduces several updates to its design, performance, and features.
Design and Features:
The fourth-generation Swift maintains its compact hatchback appeal with a refreshed exterior, including a sportier front fascia, redesigned bumpers, and updated LED lighting. The interior features a new multi-layered dashboard, enhanced infotainment system with a 9-inch touchscreen, and improved materials for a more premium feel.
Under the hood, the Swift is equipped with a new 1.2-liter three-cylinder petrol engine, known as the Z12E, delivering approximately 82-83 PS at 5,700 rpm and 108-112 Nm of torque at 4,500 rpm. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual, a newly developed lightweight CVT, and a 5-speed automated manual transmission (AGS). Additionally, a mild-hybrid variant is available, enhancing fuel efficiency.
The new Swift boasts impressive fuel efficiency, with reports suggesting mileage figures of up to 40 kmpl for certain variants, making it one of the most economical choices in its segment.
Safety features have been upgraded, with six airbags now standard across all variants. The Swift also includes advanced driver assistance systems and improved structural integrity to enhance occupant protection.

The 2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift is priced competitively, with the base model starting at ₹6.49 lakh and the top variant priced up to ₹9.60 lakh (ex-showroom).
